A traineeship at EMSA is a great opportunity to learn in a multinational environment while contributing to the mission of our Agency.

The EMSA traineeship programme aims to attract recent university graduates who are interested in developing professionally by embarking on an exciting learning opportunity.

The traineeship programme aims to provide trainees with work experience in the field of maritime safety legislation, response to pollution at sea, and cooperation among Member States in safety at sea matters, or in the administrative areas of legal and financial affairs, human resources, events, missions, or ICT.

Trainees are provided with relevant practical experience in the context of an EU agency to put into practice the knowledge they have acquired during their academic studies.

Traineeship notices are published once a year in April. The traineeship period lasts at least 6 months and at most 12 months. The date of commencement is normally the 1st of September.
