2025: Safety, security and surveillance
In 2025, we launched the second edition of the European Maritime Safety Report (EMSAFE), the comprehensive overview of maritime safety in the European Union. We continued our work on the safety of alternative fuels for shipping and the transport of alternative fuel vehicles.
We continued our work on autonomous shipping and supported the European Commission and Member States on issues like passenger ship safety and fishing vessel safety.
Throughout 2025, our underwater services continued to develop, with more deployments carried out across the EU.
Our Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) continued to follow a regional strategy in 2025, providing services to more than one Member State at a time during a single mission.
2025 saw more than 16,000 Earth Observation delivered to Member State administrations and EU institutions
