Simulation Centre for Air-Naval Operations Project
Italy

Sasemar spain

Currently the only European infrastructure which is specifically dedicated to training the Police Forces in operations that require the joint use of aircrafts and vessels, the Simulation Centre for Air-Naval Operations also helps the Guardia di Finanza reduce its environmental footprint.

Through the centre, a huge range of training is on offer, including various airplane helicopter systems, naval cockpits, as well as workstations for onboard systems operators, control room operators, and officers in tactical command.

It allows training operations to be conducted in a virtual environment rather than a real one, resulting in zero emissions and a substantial reduction in noise pollution. For example, the Simulation Centre offers training on an aircraft which, in a physical environment, uses 700 kg of fuel per hour.
