EMSA releases the first building block of the FuelEU Maritime in THETIS-MRV
Date
The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) has developed new functionalities to facilitate shipping companies preparing their new FuelEU Monitoring Plans and submitting them to verifiers.
For this purpose, a new version of THETIS-MRV has been launched today (30 July 2024) and is now ready to be used.
This update is based on the recently published implementing regulations adopted by the European Commission which complement the FuelEU Maritime Regulation:
- COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2024/2031 of 26 July 2024, on the template for monitoring plans pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2023/1805 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the use of renewable and low-carbon fuels in maritime transport, and amending Directive 2009/16/EC;
- COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2024/2027 of 26 July 2024, on verification activities pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2023/1805 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the use of renewable and low-carbon fuels in maritime transport, and amending Directive 2009/16/EC.
