On the occasion of the opening the exhibition on plastic litter on Europe Square in Lisbon on 2nd May, EU Commission Vice President Jyrki Katainen paid a visit to the European Maritime Safety Agency.

In particular, VP Katainen got acquainted with the work of the Agency through a short visit to the EMSA’s Maritime Support Service centre. There he was presented more specifically the maritime surveillance services that the Agency has developed over time to support Member States and the EU Commission for a safe, secure and clean maritime transport.
