The Common Information Sharing Environment (CISE) is a voluntary collaborative EU initiative which aims to make European and EU/EEA member states surveillance systems in the maritime domain interoperable. By interconnecting these systems, CISE aims to give all relevant authorities from different sectors access to classified and unclassified information they need to conduct missions or monitor human activity at sea.
