This training was developed for staff in Maritime Administrations involved with ship recycling issues. The course focused on the development, verification and control of Inventories of Hazardous Materials for new and existing ships in the context of “Regulation (EU) 1257/2013 on ship recycling & amending Regulation (EC) 1013/2006 and Directive 2009/16/EC”. The training was also based on EMSA’s “Guidance on the Inventory of Hazardous Materials” in order to facilitate the participants on having a better understanding of the document and its usefulness.
