How many EU flagged ships are required to comply with the LRIT and how many position reports are transmitted monthly?

Over 8,200 EU flagged ships and 200 Overseas Territories ships are required to comply with the LRIT, which corresponds to 20/25% of world's fleet. Approximately 2.9 million position reports are transmitted to the EU LRIT DC on a monthly basis and 30,000 position reports are sent to non-EU requesters.
